Our History

Main Street Ministries began as a dream that God placed on the heart of two elementary school teachers who had a burden to reach out and meet the physical and spiritual needs of those in the community.  They also wanted to provide a place for children's art and music classes, GED classes, and other life skill classes.

After much prayer, God provided a perfect location in an old hardware store.  Along with the support and help of the building's owner and others in the community, the old building was transformed into a ministry center.

At the same time, God was working in the hearts of several local pastors, revealing to them the need to come together and establish a ministry center that would provide food for those in need.  Eventually, God brought the ladies and the pastors together.  As they shared with each other their common vision, they decided to come together with other area churches to provide a ministry center to serve those in need in Winston County.
